Nuh (the Arabic pronunciation of Noah) is a prophet in the Quran. He is listed as being the son of Lamak, and being born ten generations after Adam. His grand-father was the prophet Idris (Enoch), Nuh ( peace be upon him ) was known for preaching the oneness of God, but he was often ridiculed for this by his people who worshiped idols.
Nuh ( peace be upon him ) was a prophet who lived many years after Adam ( peace be upon him ). The people with whom he lived refused to listen to him. When he said that they should worship only God ( Allah Almighty ) and do good, they paid no attention. The messenger of God Almighty told them they would be sternly punished for ignoring him and the message of Allah Almighty ( God Almighty ). Even so, the people did not believe what Nuh ( peace be upon him ) told them.
According to Islamic custom, Nuh had to tolerate a lot of mistreatment at the hands of his people, and yet he remained tolerant. finally God told him that the world would be flooded, and Nuh ( peace be upon him ) was tasked with building a boat. He was to bring aboard all people who believed in God and a pair of every animal. He was joined by a few people, but one of his sons was missing. The Messenger - Prophet saw one of his sons who had not yet boarded the ship and anxiously called out to him, "O my son, climb on board with us so that you will not belong to the unbelievers." But his son refused. Instead, he told Nuh: "I shall go up to the high mountain. The water cannot reach me there." "Only those who listen to Allah Almighty can find protection!" he cried out to his son. But just then a huge wave came and many people were drowned. The Prophet son was among them.
Upon completion of his ship, rain began to fall, and the Earth was eventually flooded; When the flood stopped, Nuh ( peace be upon him ) found himself on Mount Ararat . Nuh (Peace be upon him ) his family and his friends thanked Allah Almighty with all their hearts, because they had been saved by Him. He supposedly lived for 950 years, and thus left a lot of sons and daughters.
